1. SCHEDULE OF PROCEDURES

Deadlines for submitting applications

The application submission takes place in two Intakes (deadlines for all EU and NON-EU candidates):
Intake 1: from 11/17/2025 to 03/3/2026
Intake 2: from 01/04/2026 to 28/05/2026

2. DEADLINES

Opening and closing date for applications Intake 1  from 17 November 2025 to 3 March 2026
Opening and closing date for applications Intake 2   from 1 April 2026 to 28 May 2026
Publication of the results Intake 1  31 March 2026
Publication of the results Intake 2   19 June 2026
Date by which all admitted candidates must have obtained their first-cycle academic qualification   31 July 2026
Date by which all admitted candidates must submit their documents to the CLE by e-mail 31 August 2026
Date by which admitted candidates must submit the original documents to finalise their admission at the host university   10 September 2026

3. RECIPIENTS OF THIS NOTICE

Information for graduating students
You can apply for and enrol in the programme even if you have not yet obtained your first-cycle degree.
However, the degree must be obtained by 31/07/2026 otherwise, any enrolment will be cancelled. 
If you have not yet obtained your degree when you enrol in the course, check the ENROLMENT section to find out how to activate your academic career.

Information for international students
Specific procedures are in place for:
- Students with foreign qualifications, regardless of nationality
- Equivalent non-EU citizens
- Non-EU citizens residing abroad

4. HOW TO APPLY

During the intake period, you can apply by following the steps below.

1.    LOG IN TO Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it)
If you are logging in for the first time, select “Register” and log in with SPID or CIE. The system will automatically retrieve your personal details and then create your University credentials (nome.cognome@studio.unibo.it).
If you reside abroad and do not have an identity document issued in Italy, you can log in with your University credentials; to obtain them, go to Studenti Online (www.studenti.unibo.it), select “Register” and then “International student registration”.

2.    ACCESS “Admission application”, select “Second cycle degree programme” and choose the course and curriculum you are interested in: “Italianistica e culture letterarie europee, curriculum Culture letterarie europee”.

3.    UPLOAD THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS IN PDF FORMAT:

MANDATORY DOCUMENTS
a.    Front and back copy of a valid identity document
If you are a foreign national and your identity document does not have an English translation: a copy of your international passport

b.    Copy of your qualification (first-level academic qualification and exam certificate).

  • If the qualification was obtained in Italy:
    self-certification of your first-level academic qualification with a list of exams taken.
  • If the qualification was obtained abroad:
    a copy of the qualification obtained abroad, translated into Italian or English, which allows access to Master's Degree Courses (second cycle) in the country where it was obtained, accompanied by a transcript of records and Diploma Supplement where available.
  • If you have not yet obtained your qualification:
    upload the list of exams taken (transcript of records) and a document from your home university certifying the expected date of completion of your first-level academic qualification.

Failure to upload documents or partial uploading of documents by the deadline for enrolment in the selection process will result in the candidate's exclusion from the procedure.

OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS:
Documents required for any financial support for mobility.
To participate in the selection process for the allocation of any financial support, candidates must also submit the following additional documents:

  • Previous experience (curricular and extracurricular) using the European template available at the following link: https://europass.europa.eu/en 
  • Letter of motivation (describing the candidate's background and reasons for interest in the CLE and choice of mobility programme).
    Two letters of reference from university professors who have been part of the candidate's academic career. Letters from coordinating professors at partner universities will not be accepted. Letters must be written by professors on university letterhead and signed. Letters not written on letterhead and/or unsigned will not be considered. 
    The candidate must indicate, in the appropriate section of the online application form (see “letters of reference”), the email address of the university professor or researcher from whom they have requested a reference. This professor/researcher will receive an email with a link to upload their reference letter in PDF format. The link is personal and cannot be used by more than one professor/researcher.
  • Copy of residence permit, if already in possession

The Selection Board will only evaluate documents uploaded to the Studenti Online application (www.studenti.unibo.it ). 
Documents should not be sent by post or email to the administrative offices.
In the event of false declarations, in addition to incurring the penalties established by Article 496 of the Penal Code, you will automatically forfeit your right to enrolment and any benefits obtained, without the right to any refund of sums paid.
