PLEASE NOTE - about languages skills
European Literary Cultures programme is based on plurilingualism; students must attend courses taught in different languages. lt is essential to know the national language of the country in which the student intends to study during the first year (the minimum requirement is B2). Then, while receiving didactic support to learn French and/or Greek and ltalian (depending on the chosen mobility), the student (if his/her language proficiency is not on par) must be aware of the linguistic difficulties he/she will encounter and, therefore, make efforts to reach the required level of proficiency.
lf a student intends to start at universities accepting also French as language of instruction (Greece and Portugal), he/she must also be aware of having to deal with the study of the national language during the first and the second years.
For example: a student who wants to start in Portugal and does not know Portuguese can do it if he/she has knowtedge of both French and English. However, it will be up to him/her to study Portuguese during these two years in order to be able to hold a part of the defense of the dissertation in this language. lf a student wants to start in Greece without knowing Greek, he/she can do it if he/she knows French. However, he/she will have to study Greek to hold a part of the defense of the dissertation in Greek and to obtain the Greek degree.
PLEASE NOTE:
For the language in which the courses will be taught, see the section Didactic units. The language in which the exam is given corresponds to the language in which the teaching is carried out.
Students are obliged to stay in two or three universities of the consortium in order to complete their training and develop a research work. For mobility rules, please see the section Mobility. The lack of indication of a mobility implies the cancellation of the candidacy.
SELECTION BOARD
The Selection Board is composed of the local coordinating professors of the eight consortium institutions:
