Failure to indicate mobility will result in the cancellation of your application.

PLEASE NOTE - about languages skills

European Literary Cultures are based on plurilingualism; students must attend courses taught in different languages. For this reason, it is essential to know the language of the university in which the student intends to study during the first year (the minimum requirement is B2). During the first year the student will receive didactic support offered by CLE to learn the required languages (depending on the chosen mobility plan). Students without a sufficient language knowledge are advised to work on their language skills in order to avoid difficulties during their study period.

Students who choose Greece and Portugal in their mobility plan:
Apart from the language required to access the Master Course it is necessary to work on the language skills of the local language during the whole study period. For example:

- A student selecting Portugal without knowledge in Portuguese will be able to carry out the mobility with French and English knowledge. However, it will be necessary to learn Portuguese during these two years in order to carry out a part of the final defense and obtain the Portuguese degree.

- A student selecting Greece without knowledge in Greek will be able to carry out the mobility with French knowledge. However, it will be necessary to learn Greek during these two years in order to carry out a part of the final defense and obtain the Greek degree.

4. ADEQUATE PERSONAL COMPETENCES AND SKILL

Admission to the CLE is in any case subject not only to the curricular and linguistic requirements indicated above, but also to the assessment of adequate personal preparation, which will be carried out in the manner indicated below.

  • Qualifications, degree grade, average of exams passed.
    - For candidates with a degree obtained in Italy, personal preparation is considered adequate if the final degree grade is equal to or greater than 100/110.
For candidates who have not yet obtained a degree grade, the degree grade requirement is considered to be met if the weighted average of the grades obtained during the previous course of study is equal to or higher than 27.14.
    - For candidates with qualifications obtained outside Italy, the Selection Board will evaluate the documentation submitted and may decide to invite the candidate to an oral interview.

  • Candidates must obtain their first-cycle degree by 31 July 2026.
If the candidate has not yet obtained their first-cycle degree at the time of application, they may be admitted with reserve, subject to presentation of a document from their university of origin certifying the expected date of graduation and, for those who will obtain an Italian degree, also certifying a weighted average grade of 27.14 or higher.

What happens if your personal preparation does not meet the suitability criteria.
For candidates with a degree obtained in Italy:
If your degree mark does not reach the established threshold (greater than or equal to 100/110), you will not be able to enrol on the course.
For candidates with qualifications obtained outside Italy:
If the documentation submitted is not considered suitable or the outcome of any interview is negative, your preparation will not be considered suitable and you will not be able to enrol on the course.
